I don’t know why, but I was in the mood for Sour Patch Kids this year. Normally my go-to candy is Twirlers, but I wanted something a bit more sour.
It depends on my mood. I prefer books that I can enjoy reading, and sometimes too many shockers puts me off the story.
That’s easy. My favorite is Edgar Allen Poe’s The Black Cat. It’s such a great story!
If I’m remembering correctly, I was Princess Zelda of Hyrule for Halloween.
Also an easy answer! My favorite fall snack would have to be the apple dumplings I made a while back. The recipe involves sprite, apples, puff pastry, and I think that’s it? Maybe butter? Basically, the sprite turns into a caramel sauce and crisps up the pastry. So good!
I used to carve pumpkins. I don’t like how cold the activity is, so I’ve stopped doing it. Plus, I worry about needless waste, particularly when I don’t use the innards for anything. I’ve tried roasting the seeds, but I just don’t like it.
Neither. I don’t like horror. I can tolerate mild horror where it isn’t the main focus, like with something ridiculous like Scary Movie, but even those are only alright to me.
I would have to say that my fondest, and most recent, memory of Halloween would have to be from a few years ago. I was dressed as a witch and I had my three ferrets running around. Whenever someone came to the door, I had a ferret with me as my familiar. Honestly, the ferrets just wanted to escape and cause mischief, so I had no choice but to hold whichever one decided to make a run for the door.
Anyway, sometime that night, a little girl spotted the ferret and immediately fell in love. She turned and started pestering her father about getting a ferret. After all, this lady has a ferret and why couldn’t she have a ferret and she really did want a ferret and when could he get her one? It was too cute! And the look the father gave me was priceless. I could tell he’d been pestered about this before. It was also clear the simple night of trick-or-treating was about to become a ferret themed topic, lol.
Honestly, I prefer neither. I enjoy seeing the costumes that kids wear, but I just don’t like giving them sugar since it’s so bad for anyone to be eating, particularly in bulk. Since I don’t want to be one of those people who passes out ‘healthy’ snacks, I lean more towards just admiring the fun costumes and enjoying a small amount of candy for myself.
Uh, for sure! I decorate for fall and Halloween. Every. Year. It’s the one holiday season I rarely pass up on decorating for. It’s just too much fun!
I can’t think of any right now, but if I do, I’ll be sure to update the post!
Haunted house. I prefer having a roof over my head to keep any rain out and walls to keep the wind away. If it’s a nice night? Nope, still going with the house. There are way too many spiders out at night for me to be alright hanging out in a graveyard.
Nightmare Before Christmas is my go-to movie of the season! I watch it during Christmas too. It’s just a fun movie.
