November 2020 Crafting

Written by Sarah-Maree

It’s been a while since I did an update blog! This time, I’m covering what I accomplished back in November, namely my sharing of a book a day. That’s right, I uploaded new books to Etsy each day and then did an Instagram post too. It’s a real pain to do, but I’m in love with the results!

That being said, I’m taking a break from any major crafting projects. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still crafting, I’m just not overwhelming myself with such obnoxious goals – not for a while anyway. It’s the holidays! That means it’s time for a well-deserved break.

Anyway, here are a few of my favorite books/journals that I crafted this past month.

Ah, Skyrim. This little beauty was inspired by a video game I used to play and often return to when I’m looking for a challenge and some dragons to slay and some hoarding to do. I mostly crafted it to see if I could. That shiny metallic look went even better with the next book.

Death Note, a notebook inspired by the Manga series and requested by my husband. Don’t worry, he isn’t writing any names in it or causes of death. This notebook is all about looks and not death. Though, I suppose you could hit someone over the head with it. Or I suppose if you found someone with hemophilia you could paper cut them to death. Yikes!

Moving on to less gruesome books, there’s these gorgeous mermaid books! I far prefer crafting them this way to stamping them and then painting them onto fabric. So much easier!

I have to admit, I really do love the way this book turned out. I was experimenting with different colors for the spines of books as I was tired of seeing black spines everywhere.

Ok, so these books weren’t exactly favorites of mine, but I couldn’t help but share them again. They’re just too cute!

Well, those were the favorites this time around. Oh, I love the other ones too, of course, I just don’t feel like breaking down each one. I did that last month. If you want more, you can always find me on Etsy at SKHandcraftedBooks. If you just want photos, feel free to check me out on Instagram at Sarah_Maree_Handcrafted.

May your adventures be many and your inspiration be endless!

I may not be the nerdiest nerd you’ve ever met, but I still like to think of myself as a lover of science, video games, and of course, books.
