I can tell the author put a lot of hard work and heart into this novel and it shows. I love the way Matt's own story is weaved into Kyra's. Seeing his reactions to the story is so insightful and intriguing and really helps us as readers learn more about his behavior and the why behind his actions. I really think this book will have a powerful take away for so many different readers. Those that are struggling as Matt was from domestic abuse situations will feel validated, seen, and encouraged to reach out to adults that can help. But it will also easily resonate with kids that have no experience with domestic violence as they learn the why behind the behavior of their peers. It's wonderful, inspiring, suspenseful, and so so so important ❤️
